There's no easy way to describe what exactly Baccano! is about. It's about gangsters in 1930s New York City; about alchemists and the quest for immortality; about a great train robbery; about friendship and overcoming past troubles; about the absurd nature of humanity; about what it means to tell a story, for there to be beginnings and endings; and it's about people.

Also murder. Lots and lots of violent, bloody murder. Set to swing music.
