As a correction to the story ran on August 1, Nana Kitade performed the ending theme to FullMetal Alchemist, not Robo Days.
FUNimation announced its acquisition of School Rumble. FUNimation has the rights of both seasons of the show, as well as the OVAs. Dragon Ball Z's final three uncut volumes will not be released individually, because FUNimation plans to release complete digipack seasons of the show.
ADV Films acquired the rights to Utawarerumono and Blade of the Phantom Mask (Shin Angyo Onshi). Bio-Boosted Armor Guyver's US release will sport an artbox, which will be offered with the second volume of the show.
DramaQueen snatched up the rights to distribute the following manga titles:
- Invoke, by Kiriko Higashizato
- Not Love, by Kano Miyamoto
- Omen, by Makoto Tateno
TOKYOPOP announced its acquisition of Heaven!! The title's first volume is slated for a February 2007 release.
Broccoli acquired the rights to the Disgaea 2 manga series. The first volume is scheduled for a 2007 release.
Kadokawa Shoten stated that, while no company has the license yet, several bids have been made on the novels and anime adapation of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu). Kadokawa anticipates that Haruhi, as well as Demonbane, Karin, and The Third will eventually be licensed for American release.
