Warner Music Japan announced that American rock band Linkin Park will contribute the theme song to Bandai Namco's upcoming Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme Vs. arcade game. To promote the addition, a deluxe boxed set of the band's new album, A Thousand Suns, will include a limited-edition Gundam model when it launches on November 24.

Linkin Park will contribute the song The Catalyst, which is the first single on their new album. The addition marks the first time that a Gundam video game featured a song from a western artist.

The limited edition album will include a HGUC 1/144 RX-78GP01Fb Gundam GP01Fb Full Vernian "Linkin Park Edition" Gunpla kit, which features a color scheme designed by the band.
